Dear Parishioners,

One of the indicators of the health of any parish is the number of sacraments performed in that parish each year – Baptism,  Chrismation, The Eucharist, Orders,  Confession, Anointing of the sick and marriage.

Here are some nice links describing our sacraments:

and

On June 9th our parish will come together and celebrate two of these sacraments – the Eucharist and Baptism.

Petronela Agache will be baptizing her new baby girl Olivia on June 9th, 2019 in Winterville – Fr. Paul Solberg will be the celebrant and Petro’s sister will be the Godmother.  We will have the divine liturgy at 10 AM (orthros at 9 am) and the baptism to immediately follow.

Petro has graciously invited our entire church family and, as a family, our church will host a small lunch following the baptism.  Holy Apostles will provide drinks and the main dish. And, similar to Easter, please bring a dish to pass. We anticipate 20-25 people.

Here is a link to the Matins (Orthros) for that Sunday for those that wish to come early at 9 am and help Fr. Paul chant.

For the first time in our history, Holy Apostles is ADDING a summer service, another indicator of the growing vitality of our parish.

Remember that Old St. Paul’s is closed for renovations for the summer so services in June include:

Please make every effort to attend these sacraments and celebrate the newest member of the Holy Apostles parish!

On behalf of the parish council – we look forward to seeing you and celebrating in the month of June!

Sincerely,

Emmanuel Zervos

Parish Council President
